Some information from Hipermueble

Today we’re visiting the Hipermueble store in Alaior to meet Vicente Blanco, a professional interior designer for over 20 years.  He’s going to tell us what the latest trends in summer decoration are and how to choose the furniture and accessories we need.  Hipermueble is situated on Alaior’s industrial estate, is easy to find and has plenty of parking space.  As soon as you go in you feel at home and realise how well designed everything is.  A good example of this is the children’s area where they can take off their shoes and play on a soft carpet.

In Hipermueble they have quality furniture at a good price, excellently presented and with an interior design allowing you to see how things would look in your home. There are also perfumes and home textiles for that extra special touch.  Apart from kitchens and bathrooms, they can furnish your whole home.

The most chic materials ….

Wood combined with macramé, natural fabrics such as linen or cotton that bring freshness to the environment. An upcoming trend is the use of cement or ethnic colors such as orange, yellow or green to modernise any space.

For the terraces by the sea …

Vicente recommends decorating them in cool tones such as various ranges of blue mixed with white and gray, giving depth and harmony with the landscape and the sea.

For the country houses ….

Vicente recommends using natural elements. Wood, wickerwork, linen and teak combined with macramé and embroidered cushions. You can use the decorative elements of wood, muddy colours with all the green tones, especially those provided by plants.

For a small terrace ….

Wicker armchairs, linen cushions and a small metal table will lighten the space and greenery in pots or planted vertically to give more space helped with garlands and small lights.
