Photo Competition of Discovery Menorca 2017

1. Terms and conditions.
The contest rules are laid out in the Fomunity Terms and Conditions as https://fomunity.com/legal. In case of any contradiction, the conditions established in these rules will prevail.
Participation in this contest implies an acceptance of the terms and conditions as stipulated by Fomunity, with all its rules of competition, as well as the changes that they can carry out for justified reasons.

3. Participants.
All professional or amateur photographers who are interested can participate, as long as they are over 16 years old.

4. Theme.
Your best experience in Menorca. Tour its beaches, its streets, visit its lighthouses. We want to see the best photographs of our wonderful Mediterranean island.

5. Photos.
Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 photographs, each of which must not have been in any other contest and must have been taken by the author.

Photographs must have a minimum size of 1 000 pixels on its shortest side and maximum lengths of 10 000 pixels on its longest side, with a maximum size of 10 MB, in JPG (JPEG) format.

Custom digital display settings (white balance, exposure, levels, contrast, saturation, focus, vignette removal, etc.) also particle cleaning and moderate cropping will be allowed. No alterations however of the image, or parts of it, that imply that the photograph happens to reflect a different reality from the one photographed.

The owner of the photographs that reach the final stage may be asked, if necessary, clarifications on the images that the jury consider pertinent, including RAW files.

The owners of the winning photographs give, free of charge and in a non exclusive way, the rights of use in favor of the sponsors, which include publishing on the web, our blog and social networks and in any other area that the sponsor wishes.
Only the photographs that have been submitted through the contest page will be accepted, https://fomunity.com/concurso/discoverymenorca2017

The sponsors of the contest reserve the right to publish all photographs submitted, with the sole purpose of advertising the contest, in their social networks, always indicating the title, author and link to the original photograph

6. Dates.
The presentation period to summit the photographs starts on July 10th, 2017 at 00.00 hours and ends on August 31,2017 at 23.59 hours.
The juries decision will be issued on September 15,2017 and will be showed on the contest page.
The official time of Fomunity will be CET [http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hora_central_europea], taking into account the summer time CEST [http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hora_central_Europea].

7 The Jury,
The jury comprises of:
A professional photography from Menorca. Javier Coll
A member of the Bonnin Sanso company. Juan Mateo Torres
A communication Professional. David Baret
Their decision will be final

8 Prizes
Several prizes will be awarded.

First prize: 2 pairs of “abarcas” MIBO and a meal or dinner at the Cugó Gran luxury hotel located in Sant Climent (drink not included)

Second prize: teak sculpture of the house Aquitania (postage included in Spain)

Third prize: a pair of “abarcas” MIBO and a brunch for two people at the Boutique Hotel Ses Bruixes in Mahón (20€/PAX)

A winner may only have one prize, regardless of the number of photographs that he / she has presented.

9. Observations.
No photographs will be accepted that violate the dignity of persons and / or against human rights.
Any photograph that shows any overprint or watermark, or those that identify the author in any way (in the photograph, in the title or in the description) will be disqualified by the judges.
Participants will be responsible for any claims made from image rights and third parties.

Fomunity reserves the right to disqualify from the competition, at the discretion of the jury or the Fomunity team, any photographs that is considered to be obviously not in line with the proposed topic.

Any unforeseen event not considered on these bases will be solved by the jury together with the Fomunity team.
