Binibeca is a small fishing village located on the south coast of Menorca, a picture postcard scene lending itself to thousands of photographs one. It sits within the municipality of Sant Lluís and is considered one of the most beautiful areas of the island. During the high season, the urbanisation has a large number of supermarkets, gift shops, restaurants, bars and playgrounds, which offer various leisure opportunities. Its beach is also well known, with white sand and crystal clear waters and is one of the favorites on the south coast of the island.
However, from November to Easter, the commercial centre of the town is completely closed, and it is very quiet for anyone who spends the winter in the area. The public transport service to Sant Lluís (which is the closest town) stops and therefore, you need your own vehicle to stay here in the low season. Only the urbanisation of Cala Torret, which is located in Binibeca, has a restaurant which stays open.
On a positive note peace and tranquillity flood the whole area turning it into a refuge for a calm and gentle escape from the world. All the beauty of Binibeca is at your disposal, with the sea as background scenery, with autumnal sunsets and morning walks taking advantage of the first rays of sun, offering the chance for a chat with a neighbour.
Another advantage of living in Binibeca is that it is closer to San Luis than you might imagine and a short ten minute drive will get you to the town for shopping, going to the office, or going to the theatre.
