The good thing about children’s decoration is the freedom it gives when choosing colours, designs and styles although it is also true that the children must feel comfortable in their rooms, so it is very important we find a decoration that both we like and they like, that makes them use their imagination and have fun in, but which also allows for rest and where they can do their homework without distractions.
A very modern tendency is a decoration that helps children keep an organised bedroom. One of the very current ideas and which makes a great deal of sense from the functional point of view is decoration that combines the home office with the games room. Due to the increase in connectivity (we spoke recently in our blog of the possibilities in Menorca), many parents are choosing to work at home and this allows them much more time with their kids. How can you do your work while keeping an eye on our children at all times? Even if we only spend an hour or two with our laptop at home, choosing this combination is an intelligent idea that will make it easy for us to share our work time and playtime with the children.
Another tendency these days is to use blackboard paint for walls since it gives us a lot of options in children’s bedrooms. With one layer of paint we can renew the decoration and create a space where they can let their imagination and creativity run wild. Blackboard paint is sold in any shop and there are several systems of use, depending on the space we have and the style we want to give the decoration. We can paint a whole wall or at half-height, but if we think a whole wall is too much, we can create a rectangular space, for example.
We are sure we will talk again on our blog about decorating the children’s room…
