Pikolinos is an Alicante brand of footwear founded in 1984 by Juan Perán. At the end of the 80s, the brand was launched in the international market and its first shop was opened in 2002, taking a major step forward in being closer to the consumer. In 2007, Pikolinos bought the Martinelli brand and together with the formation of the Juan Perán Foundation, the brand formed the Pikolinos Group, becoming a genuine footwear multinational.
This year it has opened a new shop in the heart of Mahón directed by Christian Gómez. The close relationship that Gómez has with our island made it much easier to open this new outlet in which he has been able to transfer its values as a company and his good taste in the decoration of the shop.
At Bonnin Sansó we helped them find the best site, which in the end was a premises of 30 square metres, almost opposite our own estate agent’s office. They knew how to reform it with elegance and good taste, making it part of the regular landscape of the centre of Mahón. The Pikolinos Group is a family-run company just like Bonnin Sansó and has a deeply-rooted set of principles and values that it transmits to its products but also to its way of being and working. “At Pikolinos we share values of naturalness, excellence, creativity, teamwork and solidarity” explains Christian. “The staff who work in our shop are from Menorca because we want to show a commitment to what is local” he concludes; another dream came true that we are highly satisfied in having been able to contribute to.
