Surely not all of them have to be, but there are at least ten beaches in Menorca that have easy access direct to the beach, from the 1st of May to the 31st of October to help people with reduced mobility and are also equipped with services for the bathers. Many beaches are located close to urbanizations with restaurants, hotels or leisure shops that can make a day at the beach more pleasant. Below we list nine adapted beaches that Menorca currently has, thanks to the information provided by the Conquest Adapted Menorca platform, which is responsible for updating information on the beaches with accessibility year after year.
Cala Galdana beach: There are hammocks and sun beds, showers, amphibious crutches, walkways, bathrooms with support staff, ramps, amphibious chairs, changing rooms, WC, umbrella area. It is one of the most known and visited beaches in Menorca, with a tourist centre. An extensive natural region with a wet area which is adapted as a jetty and has a profusion of birds.
Punta Prima beach: There are life guards, amphibious chairs, and walkways to the beach. Set on the south of the island, in front of the Isla del Aire. It has a beautiful white sandy beach, set in the San Luis borough.
Santo Tomas beach: There are life guards, walkways down to the beach and amphibious chairs. This beach is also on the south coast with white sand and much longer then Punta Prima, set in the Es Migjorn Gran borough.
Son Bou beach: There are walkways direct to the sand, amphibious chairs and bathrooms with support staff. This is one of the largest beaches on the island, set on the south coast with white sand and is in the borough of Alayor.
Es Grau beach: There are walkways to the beach, parking area and it is one of the safest beaches for young children as the sea only goes as far as your knees for many metres. Set on the north coast of the island and is in the borough of Mahon.
Playa S’Arenal d’en Castell: Parking for disabled, wooden walkway, also running length of the beach, access to restaurants and bars through wooden walkway, hammocks, umbrellas and toilets for disabled people. It is one of the most beautiful urban beaches on the north coast of the island, with crystalline shallow waters.
Binibeca Beach: There are buoys and hammocks, amphibious crutches, walkways, bathrooms with support staff, ramps, amphibious chairs and umbrellas. It is a south beach with white sand, crystal clear waters and a beach bar for ice creams or even family dining.
Beach of Cala En Blanes: There are buoys and nets, showers, walkways, ramps and cloakrooms. It is a beach on the north coast, in the Urbanization Los Delfines, with fine sand and calm waters.
Cala En Porter Beach: There are buoys and nets, walkways, support staff to the bathrooms, ramps, amphibious chairs, cloakrooms and an umbrella area. It is a very busy beach on the south coast, with white sand and spectacular cliff views. Situated at the end of a ravine, with a wet land area where ducks live.
