Summer nights are made for enjoying, for going out, for strolling around, for having fun, and what better way of doing that than following a route like the one we propose, a route to discover the street markets that each summer are set up in the towns of Menorca and which are a source of inspiration for all the senses.
We’ll start with Es Migjorn, where its craft market takes place every Tuesday from seven in the afternoon to midnight. Then we go to Fornells, which on Saturdays and Sundays has its own craft market between six in the afternoon and midnight. In Es Mercadal it is on Thursdays and in Ferreries, the Night Market is held on Fridays, between seven in the afternoon and eleven at night and occupies the streets in the centre.
The route now takes us to Ciutadella where its traditional hippy and craft product market of Capllonch takes place every day, from Monday to Sunday. It is very typical and fun to be just carried away by the easy-going pace of the people who wander around the Plaça del Borne or Portal de Mar looking for something totally original. In the district of Es Castell, the busy ramp of Cales Fonts also has a daily market every night until two in the morning.
The night market of Alaior reaches its ninth edition this year, every Wednesday with musical performances and tasting sessions in the old quarter, with stalls with craft products and an endless list of activities to spend a wonderful night.
We have left the Night Market of Mahón until the end, which this year has opened with more than fifty stalls spread around its old quarter. Every Tuesday in July and August, complementing the nights of street music that are regularly scheduled.
