What to do in Menorca on rainy days

As a week of intense rains is expected in Menorca, following you have six proposals of what to do on a rainy day on the island.

• Discover the Fish Market or the Market of the Claustro del Carmen, an emblematical point where you can go shopping or have tapas without getting wet. You will find a wide variety of fruit, vegetables, all 100% local products.

• Visit Menorca’s Museum in a privileged location in the historic baroque convent of San Francisco, of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Additionally, until 17^th of April 2022, you can visit the exhibition of  “Magatzem d’històries”.

• Take a guided tour to any menorcan farm like Subaida or Binissues, where you can see how cheese and typical Menorcan sausages are made. You can also sample them!

• Visit a historical place in Menorca such as the Cathedral of Ciutadella and its monumental group of palaces. Discover the impressive Gothic-style building that perfectly integrates into the historic part of the city.

• Go and see the Teatro Principal in Mahón, the most ancient opera theatre in Spain.  In its interior you can contemplate Italian architecture, an absolute cultural jewel!

• Vist and sample the best wines in Binifadet’s winery.  There is also a restaurant based in high quality local product, where you will be able to enjoy Menorca’s gastronomy.

The truth is that, even if it rains in Menorca, there is always something to do.  You will never get bored!
